JEC Fingers Maths
Finger math is a fast and effective method of calculation that uses both hands and both sides of the brain. It allows children aged 5 to 12 yrs olds to do speed calculations in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. At the same time, it enables the development of both the left and right brains too.
It helps to enhance the development of a child's thinking, memory and the potential abilities of the child.
Our Objectives
—Do multiplication and division,
eg. 2 digits x 2 digits or 3 digits x 3 digits, etc.
—Whole Brain Training
Through the use of both hands, Finger Math stimulates the development of the whole brain, as the left hand trains the use of the right brain and vice versa. As such, it balances the development of both the left and right brains and improves the memory and thinking skills of the brain.
Memory Skills Development
The training process of Finger Math helps to improve the brain's memory ability and increase the reflexes ability.
From visual memory, listening memory, linking memory, action memory, impression memory, comprehension memory to long term memory and accuracy, the learning process will help to train the different areas of memory in depth at the same time too.
—Character Development
The program helps to cultivates a child's confidence and encourages independent thinking and creativeness.
—Thinking Skills
During the learning process of Finger Math, the use of the fingers will developed the physical imaging thinking skills (right brain & both hands); The combined use of both hands and both sides of the brain will help in training the spatial thinking ability, logical thinking skills and increase the child's ability in understanding and analysing information.
—Multi-Intelligence Training
Finger Math encompasses the concept of
muti-intelligence training in the development of its programs. Using games, stories, music, it trains a child language ability, coordination of the senses, spatial knowledge, mathematical logic, etc. It also helps to build a child's observation, imaginative, creativity skills and problem solving skills.
—Concentration Improvement
It improve a child's concentration skills, which in turn will help to improve their academic results too.
Just Genius Thinking Program
Our Perceptual Training Program uses perceptual tasks to train the student to fully master early cognitive and developmental concepts necessary for creative thinking and problem solving.
We will enhance your child’s memory power & creativity through imaging, memory training, visual comparison and other Left- Right Brain Training.
Perception involves many aspects of thinking including: matching, remembering, recognizing familiar shapes in unfamiliar settings, recognizing a whole object from its parts, and understanding how shapes orient to each other.
The program will be supported by a wide range of thinking questions, problem solving scenarios, practical hands-on activities, fun worksheets and learning games. There is also a report card for parents to see what their children have learnt every half-yearly.
Objectives:
Motor Skill Development
· Left-Right training needs to be started early and be continued in every activity until it is well established as most of our learning process is based on moving from left to right. It is easy to see why confusion in this area would create numerous learning problems.
· Hand-Eye and Maze skills are also so important to every part of our lives.
· It is the child’s ability to interpret and understand the information that comes to him through his eyes.
· If the visual perception skills are not reasonably well acquired early, this lack of skill can become a hindrance in all academic areas, particularly in reading, spelling and writing.
· Our program deals with visual memory, attention to details and the awareness of similarities and differences.
Visual Skill Development
· Refer to the formation of ideas or organization of concepts through the listening senses.Visual Skill Development
· Learning to hear differences is followed by learning to remember what is heard.
· Children may listen carefully but, because they are not translating the speech sounds into immediate meaning, they may remember only the last five or six spoken words. They are scolded for being inattentive.
Auditory Memory Skill Development
Auditory Memory Skill Development
· Children who cannot follow directions have a similar problem with auditory memory. They suffer tremendous frustration yet these problems cannot always be discovered through a hearing test.
· We believe with our well developed auditory skills training are necessary to every aspect of their life.
Comprehension Skill Development
Children will have the
Children will have the
· ability to classify,
· to categorize,
· to generalize, and
· To sequentialize ideas and story.
Cognitive Activities | Learning objectives |
Practical problems that demand flexible thinking | Children will develop the flexibility and flair to solve simple problems they meet |
Multi answer, fun questions that invite inquisitiveness | Develop inventiveness and individual ideas, choices and reasons Develop logical thinking |
Fun Games that encourage a preparedness to think creatively and critically | This will help children get a head start in creative and critical thinking as the attitudes are easily imprinted when they are young. Most importantly, it will stay with them for life. |
Uses of fun activities and worksheets | This will appeal to young children and keep them focus on the learning; despite their short attention spans. |
Hands-on activities to reinforce the learning | Children’s interpersonal skills will be enhanced. They will learn to listen to others and see from other's perspective too. |
In-Class activities | Strengthen existing and build new brain connections Display keen interest in learning |
Auditory skills | Develop sharp listening skills – able to follow instructions well |
Photographic memory | Can converse and recall details clearly |
Comprehension skill | Enlargement of vocabulary |

9B Abacus
The Mental Abacus course is specially designed for the young ones to calculate quickly and accurately in a fun- filled way. It aims at cultivating mathematical interests and interaction through fun and lively activities.
Children are highly encouraged to learn Mental Abacus EARLY in life. With a foundation of essential mental abacus skills, it will help them to concentrate and strengthen their memory ability to excel.
Besides learning to do speed calculations, 9B abacus also incorporates fun learning, multi-intelligence training and thinking skills in its program.
9B abacus is a fast, efficient and simple method of doing calculation just by using our memory and both sides of our brain. Using this method, a child will learn to do any types of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in seconds. Besides speed calculation, it helps to develop a child left and right brain at the same time.
It engages the child’s interest in learning through fun math, multi-intelligence training which in turn stimulates a child’s natural instinct of activeness and curiosity.
Objectives of our: 9B abacus
· No drilling method is introduced in all the lessons
· Less formulas as compared with the old conventional abacus program
· Less memorizing of formulas
· Improves concentration & thinking skills
· Improve mathematical skill & mental calculation
